In German-Scandinavian mythology, the raven is a revered bird, the image of which was adorned with the banners of Viking ships. The inseparable companions of the supreme god Odin are the crows Hugin and Munin, who personify thought and memory. According to legend, birds collect information from all over the world during the day, and in the evening they sit on the owner's shoulders and whisper in his ear everything that they saw and heard.
