Rebirth Print

This is inspired by my love for nature and the effect of human activities because of urbanization. It is a depiction of solid minerals combined into a human nude figure laying backwards towards a cut tree trunk, holding a little growing tree on his palm. The crowned hair of sunflowers was inspired by Van Gogh’s sun flowers which signifies a prosperous life with connection with the strength and beauty of the sun. The god in his emotions is unhappy with the cutting down of a tree and hoping on the young tree to grow unharmed. It means that human activities shouldn’t affect the trees as they are a pathway through life, reducing carbon dioxide in the hair we breath. This brings to reminder that life itself can be cut short but impact should never be forgotten. There is hope when we replace what has been lost with new life.
