What/who inspired the work? The canvases were found in November 2012 and thrown in the trash because they served their purpose, of psychological liberation from trauma, a workshop in which the participants outlined their own body and added various attributes to free themselves from some deep traumas that accompany them. What do you hope its viewers will feel/think? I wanted to build on that state of psychological release from trauma through painting. Why did you choose the medium, topic, style? The medium and the theme were suggested to me, and I think the style is also spontaneously present in my painting vocabulary. Overall, the intention behind the work appears to be rooted in facilitating healing and transformation, both for the participants who initially created the canvases and for those who encounter them as viewers.
