This works is a part of a series of paintings depicting couples embracing in association with the dominant color used, in this instance: red. Red is the color of passion, desire, romance and vitality. The flowers that surround the couple are varying shades of reds and pinks. I used thick layers of paint to create depth and dimension within the piece.
