Personal Statement February 2022 I think my work is quite autobiographical. I get inspired from nature, the some time I allow my situation to affect the temperature of the work. I notice different urban rhythms, colors, antithetical repetitions, floated structural colored shapes next one to the other, in or on, up or down, relations, planes and suggested depths, interests me. I like to use colored combinations, harmonious, attractive, that interact with the feelings of the viewer. Combinations muted – saturated, Dark with light, close with open, big with small, thin with large. The natural world as a metaphor of the supernatural world. The supernatural and the transcendental thought, a mystic immersion into the powers of nature. Clarity and The elimination of all obstacles, between the painter and the idea, and between the idea and the observer. The relation between colors tones with emotions a general impression of memories or senses, of sadness or happiness, aggressiveness or some drawing compositional uniformity, color gesture with Symmetry and simplicity. Abstraction as a transposition of the phenomenon observed into simpler, clearer, more evocative and organically final terms. I use the canvas as form of unity. My pictures embody the idea that I have of the world, the world through my senses. For me structure is more a way of allowing great variety without destroying the unity of the image and therefore its universality. I believe that a painting must fill a wall, decorate a place but the some time to get in the consciousness of the viewer, create feelings and thoughts. I use oils as a medium, because the colours are so powerful and the some time so alive.
