ABOUT THE ARTWORK
From Venice's countless cosy bridges, the canal lanes leading to the bay can be seen. Although the viewer does not see the canal itself, its light shines in the depths of the houses running off into the afar. The recognisable, world-famous, distinctive Venetian facades are reflected in the water. The sunlight hitting them and the contrasting shadows create an enchanting shimmer on the surface of the water, which is complemented by the reflections of the boats, black as the abyss.

I was born and grew-up in Kharkiv, graduating from high school in 1986, and from the College of Architecture at Kharkiv in 1990 with a Bachelor degree. I completed my Masters at the Academy of Architecture in Kharkiv, graduating in 1999. Since then I have worked on many major architectural projects across Ukraine and central Europe. I also work as a cityscape and landscape artist, and I have exhibited at Artmajeur and Saatchi Art.
