ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I have always yearned for an original place outside time, without gravity, floating from all eternity in the vastness of the universe. Representing this place was impossible if I wanted to account for the slightest impression of bliss that reigns there at every moment. So, I chose to imagine this place from the outside and to paint an illustration that would be closer to a materialist and conventional vision of the subject. In this unrealistic landscape, the light in the center presents itself as a passage towards the immaterial, while the surrounding material seems partly composed of dense light. To get to the point, I reduced the color palette and used my usual technique of diluted paint applied to spalter to treat transparent areas with the minimum of means. https://youtu.be/-6StwDdExjY
