About The Artwork
For an exhibition in Amsterdam, all the invited artist were asked to make an interpretation of this well known self portrait by Rembrandt. I choose to pick elements from the original painting and emphasize them. The torus on the background, in sacred geometry the torus is the first shape to emerge from the Genesis Pattern. The torus is found in everything from atoms, to life forms and even in all cosmic bodies such as stars and galaxies. In the foreground many alchemy and sacred geometry symbols are represented in the colour of the prism effect.
