About The Artwork
One part of a two panel painting of a meditation, in textured acrylic and gold leaf. This piece features warm reds, gold, orange and brown, along with gold leaf, starkly contrasted with accents of black and while, representing trees and mental fog. The piece invokes a moment in meditation where one leaves the mental fog to find clarity and light, rising above the heaviness of things and finding oneness with the world. This is a moment I briefly experienced during a meditation in a forest this Spring. (Order together with "Rising Through The Fog 2" to recreate the 2 panel piece as closely as possible. I am selling the original diptych in a separate listing, since both panels must be bought together.)

I was a resident artist at The Loft Gallery & Studios, San Pedro, CA until Covid-19 lock down. I have been working as an artist since before graduating high school, but my love of fine art painting began in 1991 at Long Road College, Cambridge, UK, under the direction of painter Andy Crocker, my inspiration.
