This is the Uji River in summer. South of Kyoto but it doesn't necessarily look Japanese. I am inspired by Boudin, Corot, Constable, and many other great outdoor artists. This painted on hand gesso Arches cotton paper. It would look very nice in an antique gold or silver frame.
