Dan has spent most of his life as a software engineer and business owner. He has been an avid art lover his entire life and started painting and drawing about 12 years ago. Dan studied art at Artis Anima in the San Francisco bay area. Dan mostly paints with oils and tends to layer his paints to get the effect he likes. He is influenced by artist such as Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, Mark Rothko, Joan Miró, Jean Michel Basquiat, and Banksy. While these artist's artwork are quite different from each other, there are elements of each artist that inspire Dan to paint. He likes colors and spontaneity in a painting. Dan's artwork has been shown at several galleries and art shows throughout the San Francisco bay area.
