About The Artwork

Inspired by my love of art and fashion, Rolling with the Changes is my way of dealing with our current crazy lives by getting transported to riding your bike and allowing all of your troubles to fade away. Painted with acrylic on canvas with great detail in her denim shorts and flowing blouse. The belt buckle is painted in copper paint that sparkles when you walk by.

I was born and raised in Portland Oregon and my Mom taught me to draw even before I could speak. I have always loved art and lived in the art room in school. In high school I was awarded the best artist in the school. I entered a city wide art competition and won a year of free tuition at the Pacific NW College of Art. I have always loved fashion and attended Bauder College to study fashion design. I earned my way through college doing commissioned portraits. I left home at 17 and needed to make more money as I was on my own. Pretty soon work took over and my art took a back seat, but my passion to be a full time artist never left me. Recently I took a workshop called achieving excellence where they help you to find your life's purpose. I knew right then I had to retire early and pursue my dream. I have been painting non stop ever since and am grateful to have a second chance at making my dreams come true. My art reflects my love of fashion and fabric and contemporary culture. My story shows that its never too late to be your best, true self!
