ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is an acryl sketch on paper of a woman standing in a room. The room has no decoration, except for a yellow curtain. The woman looks at the painter. Contrast for the empty room are the warm tones used in the painting. Except for the woman, there is no evidence of anything happening in the room. Yet her look is one of anticipation. Is she waiting for something or does she know what will happen. Or is she caught off guard by the person looking at her ? I am working on paper for this series of sketches. It allows for a quick painting style with a minimum of set up.
