This painting is part of the series 'Oh, the Places We'll Go.' The title of the series comes from the Dr. Seuss classic 'Oh, the Places You'll Go.' The book describes the journey of life, the ups and downs and the times one may feel alone. Another source is the book 'The Four Loves,' by C.S. Lewis. In the book Lewis describes one type of love as Affection. Affection is rooted in warmth and familiarity. I hope the viewer feels this type of love and possibly reflect on what in their life gives them a similar feeling.
