ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Daughter #2 studied the craft of building wooden boats at the Carpenter's Boat Shop in Bristol, Maine, and loved it. The skill set and confidence she earned there (sometimes the hard way!) have made a real difference. She's moved on from boat building but this experience was life-changing. This little painting came to me one night after chatting with her. I know next to nothing about boats--especially how they're built, but I enjoyed making this little gem.
