Sacred Prayer Print

"The Pentacle- The ancients envisioned their world in two halves-masculine and feminine. Their gods and goddesses worked to keep a balance of power. Yin and Yang. When male and female were balanced, there was harmony in the world. When they were unbalanced there was chaos." What inspired this piece was the story behind the buffalo in native culture. The buffalo represents prayer and our ancestors. The Arrows represent the masculine energy on our planet and the Roses the feminine. The pipe is used in ceremony to release prayers to our ancestors. This piece is part of my "Mixed Nature" series. A collection of animals with flowers as their face. This is a sage bush and a buffalo. I hope the viewers feel inspired. I chose acrylic on wood because it's fun to paint on and I chose this subject matter because I hear alot about Twin Flames and "Masculine and Feminine" energies on our planet. Sacred Union. I always knew I wanted to paint a buffalo with a sage bush as the face because it seemed relevant since both have something to do with prayer.
