Joël Alessandra was born in Marseille in 1967. He is a comic book author and watercolorist and has published more than thirty books with major publishers. He graduated from Boulle school in interior design (a famous Art School in Paris). It is in Italy that he published his first comic strip stories were he used to live for more than five years. A frequent traveler, Joël regularly travels abroad, especially in Africa, for interventions in French institutes and Alliances françaises. He lives today in Arpaillargues in the south of France.
