Sakuntala on her way to Dushyanta's place - is a traditional kerala mural painting which is a part of indian classcal painting , its made in acrylic on canvas. This art work was done on seeing a lady sitting under a tree in this position when I was travelling through a village. She was wearing modern dress-off shoulder top and Jeans. I just transformed her into an ancient Indian woman in my imagination. then next question was whether she should be converted to Sita in panchavadi, droupadi during forest life or shakuntala. As there is some jasmine like climber on the tree under which she was sitting, I confirmed it as Shakuntala. In 'Shakuntalam' drama, Kalidasa has named the jasmine climber as vanajyotsna.To add this effect deer was included in the scene from my traditional kerala mural painting, only 5 colors are used which signifies 'panchabhutas'.This painting can be put anywhere in the house, hotels, Offices, Resorts etc.As drawing mural paintings involve harsh vrathas , avoidance of non vegetarian food during the period of painting and celebacy , will add positive energy to the place where it is kept.
