Two figures seem to fall down. These figures represent the Japanese philosophy that life is perishable, just like the Japanese cherry blossom (Sakura) The bloom of the cherry blossom is beautiful but short. Behind the falling figures you see the symbol of Japan. In Japan they say Nippon 日本 (国) which means the rising sun. The work is made of wool and cotton that has been felted.
