Scarlet poppies in a field Print

This acrylic painting depicts red poppies in a field. Created with a palette knife, the piece has a light and spontaneous feel, capturing the vibrant red of the poppies against a background of green grass and blue sky. The quick, expressive strokes add texture and a sense of movement to the scene. I left margins of 0.75cm all round for framing the picture in a baguette. The painting is painted partly with a brush, partly with a palette knife, using a volumetric gel for acrylic. That is why the texture of the colors appears on the paper. The paper is special for acrylic painting.
