ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Even in winter, the Thuringian Forest has always attracted me. I had to wear thicker clothes, but it was always worth the effort. The magic of the cold in the midst of quiet companions is indescribably captivating. Although I couldn't sit, I could walk all the more and therefore see a lot. My senses have mobilized to understand the cool beauty of the Thuringian forest. My mind, which otherwise finds no rest, finally calmed down in this atmosphere of slow silence. My hiking boots kept me warm, so I was able to walk through the forest for a few hours to get better. At the sight of this painting you, dear art collector, will be cooled down like mine and come back to your senses and calm. This piece was filled and brushed in 2 attempts. Oil paint, as one of my favorite media, impresses with its plasticity and gloss. The deliberately chosen cool dark blue color and the light, rosy-white areas in between are intended to create a feeling of cold, wintry comfort in the viewer. The painting is an eye catcher on every wall.
