About The Artwork

The Semi-finalist of the international art contest organized by ARTBOX.Project Miami 2.0. The painting was presented digitally from the 2nd-8th of December 2019 in Miami ART Weeks (during the famous Basel Art Show in Miami). Published in the book “Our Ever Changing World: Through the Eyes of Artists. Book 11: Artist, Art & Story: A Moment in 2019” by Karie Ross, page 104. ISBN-13 : 979-8612888949 Large painting made as an old chalk school board in square format. Matt finish spray to protect the lettering on canvas. Each Schoolboard painting is numbered by me. I title the style of this art series "Naive science art". The mathematical symbols and formulas will be used as abstract elements. These artworks symbolize the memories about our development path. The central painting -School Blackboard symbolizes the object, which connects all of us as a start point of our development. Because even the famous scientist used to learn that 2+2 is 4. The old school chalk blackboard keeps all these memories about the learning path from simple to complex. It's also a symbol of the first love and the first difficulties in our lives. With my artworks I want to touch the persons to remind them about something very personal for us. The artwork uses the principle of Color Field Painting- a base green color with a depth effect. Anastasia Vasilyeva for the interview on the exhibition in Madrid: "With my artworks, I want to touch the persons to remind them about something very personal for us. The artworks from the Science art collection made with a multi-layer technic, that I developed. It helps a base color to become a special depth effect. The lettering on this painting is an abstract element and helps to reach even more depth." The painting is signed on the front and back sides. The certificate and the original catalog are included. The original artworks from Science Art Collection were already presented in Art Galleries and Art Fairs in Europe -Spain, Italy, German, Switzerland, and Austria. The unique style, which combines Art and Science, is a highlight for each exhibition of contemporary art. Some artworks of the artist Anastasia Vasilyeva are already in the collection of the Art Museum in Estonia (Narva City). Anastasia Vasilyeva used a specially developed painting technique to make the colors vivid and become a depth effect. The catalog of the Science Art collection, which was published in 2019, is available on Amazon.

Anastasia Vasilyeva is a Swiss-Russian contemporary artist with a mathematical background. She was born in 1982 in St.Petersburg (Russia) in an artists-family (4th generation). In 2008 Anastasia moved to Switzerland where she's been living since then. In her works, she combines art with motifs and themes of mathematics as well as computer science. Her work also focuses on current social problems. Inspired by Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollack, Kandinsky, and Gerhard Richter, Anastasia Vasilyeva tries to make a conceptual contribution in Contemporary Art. Artist Statement: The main goal is to combine abstract expressionism with science. This connects the emotional level, which belongs to Expressionism, with the intellectual and logical structures. All of the artist's works have several levels of meaning. They are not only visually attractive, but also provide an impulse to philosophize and appeal to something historical which connects us all. The Art Catalogue is available on AMAZON (ANASTASIA VASILYEVA).
