The painting that could also be titled “Sensual Scorpio between Pluto and El Yunque rainforest” captures a woman personifying Scorpio seated in a pond in the fluvial environment of the mountains of “El Yunque”. Her imposing gaze together with her posture, emanates a sensuality very characteristic of Scorpio. Her red dress with scorpions climbing up it and turning into geranium flowers evokes the intensity and perseverance of the sign. The blue and green hues of the turbulent waters, a reflection of passion, contrast with the background dominated by the pink tones of Pluto, Scorpio's ruling planet. It is part of the collection "Mujeres del Zodiaco Isleño" (Women of the Island Zodiac).

Sometimes I turn to my childhood memories to address the existential questions I want to express. I've recently explored the concepts of time, energy, light, and space through my paintings and drawings. This has led me to work with hybrid subjects and media that can converge figuration with traits of abstraction and surrealism. I use symbolism and distortions to bridge the figures and their environment, creating scenes where surrounding energies and time metaphors serve as the glue of an idea.
