I am from England originally and love the European romantic arts. So Gustave Courbet's (French, 1844, Romanticism) orignal painting "The Hammock", inspired me to replace the human lovers with our cats, Cloudy and Munchy. I hope you enjoy this romantic piece, as much as I did, in creating it.

My photo shows myself with Sunny, our little rescue dog, who is about 14 now. He's been with us since he was 10 months old. I am an Ex Patriot from Great Britain, been here in the States since 1982! I'm married to Art Venti, artist, (of excellent skill and imagination) who is also on Saatchi Art. My own artwork has been put on hold in recent years, I have been a high School art teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District for 10 years. Now I am retired and we are living in Florida. Willl be doing some new work soon. I love to paint and draw animals and nature mostly, but do occasionally create a custom human portrait if asked to. I enjoy doing pet portraits, either straight forward or whimsical. Please inquire if you would like a custom portait of your pet. I just need a detailed photo or two.
