Secret Print

Secret Silence rests in deep ground, Swallows up the world' s noise. On the shore, icy blue undulates leisurely. Embraces the feet that long for recreation. In the distance, a house sits enthroned on rigid rock. Lonely it looks into the depths. It was already there a long time ago. Slumbering quietly, guarding all its knowledge. Hills grow on the shore's edge, Casting shadows on the glitter Seeming at first menacing' giants, But open their wombs to the wide land. Lonely the crow sings a song. Grey veils the sky wears, uninspired. Somewhere lies a secret, Hidden quietly in the deep lake bottom. No one who dares to retrieve it. I created this painting some time ago in early 2021 during the pandemic. I like the vastness and tranquillity that lies within it. As you might know, I also like mystical or spooky stories, e.g. by H.P. Lovecraft, E.A. Poe, Arthur Machen etc. Somehow it reminds me of them. A lonely building on a hill by a quiet lake, surrounded by steep hills. I wonder what secret lies hidden there? And should it rather not be discovered? My oilpaintings are made with premium oil colours and premium materials. I use professional tools to create a unique composition of light, shadowing and style.
