This piece was created on a sunny day in Siena, Italy, as I sat alone at a café in Il Campo. Sipping my cappuccino, I was captivated by the play of light and shadow on the historic buildings surrounding the square. I spent around two hours there, soaking in the atmosphere and capturing it in my sketchbook. When viewers encounter this artwork, I hope they feel the warmth of the Italian sun and the richness of Sienese architecture. The piece aims to evoke a sense of timelessness, as if one could sit there forever, lost in the beauty of light and shade.
