ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was inspired by the cliffs at Etretat in Normandy, France. The church was moved closer to the edge and painted red to convey a sense of tension. It was painted during the 2016 US presidential election when it seemed the world was on the edge of a cliff. I hope viewers will connect to the emotional turmoil in the painting.
