I did this painting for a class--we were to create two pieces of impulse art. So, I cleared my mind, placed seven colours in front of me, set my timer for five minutes then began to paint. The result was this tree...initially, it was incomplete. But, I came to appreciate it's expression.

Jhean-Mychel was born in Jamaica, raised in the Bahamas, and currently lives in New York (US). She has been creating art since she was 10 years old; from poetry to drawings. By her senior year in high school, she began painting and found another interest. Jhean-Mychel has taken many classes and elective courses in art, namely photography, pottery, and drawing. But, when it comes to painting, she is mostly self-taught.
Jhean-Mychel's preferred mediums are acrylic and oil. She has recently been trying to test her hand with watercolour. Altogether, Jhean-Mychel has been painting for fifteen years. Her subjects are primarily abstract or nature/landscape.
