I'm Katherine Lechler, a fine artist, illustrator, and creative professional with a lifelong love for color, texture, and the natural world. Thanks for visiting me on Saachi Art. I invite you to explore my work and experience the landscapes of nature that inspire me every day. I grew up on the South Shore of Long Island in the small seaside town of Point Lookout, New York. Surrounded by the salty air of the ocean and the beauty of coastal life, I developed a deep connection to nature that continues to shape my creative voice today. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where I studied Illustration and Graphic Design. My professional journey spans over 25 years as a freelance illustrator and graphic artist, art director, and marketing executive. I've spent more than two decades leading creative direction at a New York publishing company, blending strategic vision with artistic storytelling. This experience honed my design sensibilities and deepened my appreciation for the power of visual communication. Alongside my professional work, painting has always been my true passion. I am drawn to the textures and colors found in nature—from the quiet tree shadowed paths of a national park to the crashing waves of the Atlantic. My paintings are created that brings sense of movement to each piece, along with bold colors, expressive brushwork, and a love for light define my style.
