I was born March 21,1925 in New York City. I grew up in Little Italy, which is in lower Manhattan. While I was young, I started to appreciate the art scene in & around Grenwich Village. It was a melting pot for talented individuals of musicians, actors & painters. When I became 18 in 1943 I enlisted in the US NAVY after graduated High School. I Enlisted in the U.S Navy during World War 2 and I was a carpenter on a naval ship overseas. When I was discharged honorably, I then returned to NY to start and experience the next phase of my life. While Developing the necessary skills in this competitive world & showing my ability to work hard in the art and fashion industry, I earned myself a career along the way using my artistic talent towards a very successful career with Cohama Decorative Fabrics. My position as a drapery supervisor was between the years of 1956-1984. My succesful career gave me the stability to raise a family of 4 children along with my wife in Long Island, NY. I then retired & headed to South Florida in 1989. In South Florida, I had started to realized my dream of becoming a freelance artist. I created my own unique approach to photography as well as beginning to sketch & draw which led me to painting with all types of mediums. I enjoyed the great quality and color values of oil painting while applying it to vast amount of subjects in different genres, although most of my canvas projects were modern contemporary style portraits and detailed realistic figures. I then became part of the local art communities by entering into contests and exhibiting my collection in galleries and museums around South Florida & in NY. After many years of contributing to the art world and winning awards, In 2013 I was recognized & listed in the 33rd edition in the publication of The Marquee Who's Who of American Art. Presently I am enjoying my retirement as a snow bird while I still l enjoy painting when free time allows. I continue to work with Abstract, Contemporary & Modern Impressionistic Art at the Young age of 92. I have always had a passion & respect for the artwork by all the master artists from Italy and Europe during the Renassaince Era. Artists like Michaelangelo & Da Vinci as well as 19th Century Impressionist artists like Monet, Turner & Degas. Furthermore like Van Gogh, Picasso, Pollock & Warhol from this past 20th century.
