About the Artist

David Fellerman

Israel

Artist, poet, entrepreneur, born on the North West coast of England, grew up in central London. His artistic skills are in the family gene, his father was an artist and there is a legitimate connection on his family tree to Vincent Van Gogh, his great-great-grandfather's wife's aunt's 1st cousin twice removed wife's brother-in-law) … go figure!!.

He attended Central St Martin’s College of Art & Design in the 60’s and his skills were honed working alongside artists and writers of the day. It was an amazing period; London witnessed a massive explosion in visual and musical culture and was a breeding ground for a new generation of artist’s photographers and designers fresh out of art school and desperate to make their mark.

Fascinated by the opportunities the city presented he opened his advertising business with clients like Guinness and Vauxhall Cars, and a merchandising and concert book publishing business with associates in New York and Sydney. He specialized in the music industry and developed sound relationships with artist agent’s promoter’s impresarios and managers, working alongside iconic stars, including but not limited to, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Rod Stewart, Dire Straits, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Ted Nugent, Ozy Osborne, Adam & the Ants, The Bay City rollers, Rick Wakeman, Joan Armatrading, The Moody Blues, Sammy Davis Jr, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, Liza Minnelli, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Gene Pitney, Shirley McClain, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, the list goes on.

His design and production skills led to forays into producing souvenir books for theatrical shows plays and pantomimes; through this work he was invited by 'Lord Bernard (Berny) Delfont' to work for the EABF theatrical charity which stages The Royal Variety Show. As recognition for his charitable work he was presented to 'Her Majesty the Queen'.

Following the sale of his business he embarked on co-writing and producing three musical tribute shows; 'Rocking on Heavens Door' 'Manhattan Nights' and 'You don't bring me flowers'. David’s life is one of creative pursuits and challenges; pushing forward against the odds. His motto - the best is yet to come’.

David and Sylvia immigrated to Israel in 2012 since when he concentrated on painting writing and building a portfolio of work; some pieces of his art are featured on the Saatchi platform.
