EMOTIONAL LANDSCAPE – this is how I would describe my direction in art. The process of painting is a kind of story telling for me. Sometimes a story starts to come to shape in my head. I start painting quickly then. At times the characters of the story are visible in the painting. Other times I use composition and especially colors and textures to depict their emotions. My landscapes tend to be drawn from nature but simplified and abstracted, always focused on showing the landscape of emotions. I use differences in shades and textures, the diverse ways of putting brushes to canvas to describe the spectrum of feelings accompanying my heroes.
