I was in Berlin in 2010 for two weeks. I saw this woman on the street, she was just standing in front of a building and smoking her cigarrette...I asked her permission to take her picture. Then I got back to Istanbul and paint this portrait.

Is an Artist based in Istanbul Feyza Ketenci is a classically trained professional artist. She attended Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, one of the most prestigious art schools in Istanbul. There she mainly studied classical techniques under the guidance of Kemal İskender. She also had the privilage of working alongside Mehmet Mahir and Teymur Rzayev both well renown artists. She pursued a commercial career working for Noce Home which is a luxury home décor store in Bebek, since their inception in 2014. The same store has been a portal for her work to get noticed by the art scene in Istanbul and abroad and received a positive review by critiques and art lovers alike. Later she became acquainted with Evadne Yachts which is a yacht design company. She was commissioned to work for prestigious customers, her work for the mega yacht "The Rock" has received critical acclaim and has been covered by the Boat International Magazine. Her artistic work has been displayed in many group exhibitions both abroad and in Istanbul. She is currently working on her solo exhibition in Istanbul.
