Born and raised on the coast in New Jersey, Chris was trained at Maryland Institute College of Art, Montclair State University and SCAD. He was trained in traditional illustration, and along the way learned the art of airbrush illustration. Chris is most at home with a paintbrush, drumstick or fly rod in his hand, being self-taught in the latter two. It is the third of these that comes through strongest in Chris’s creative endeavors. Always near to the water; never far from the surf. Perhaps because those who truly find their home on the water tend to find difficulty finding the separation between it and day to day life. It is this spirit that is portrayed in Chris’s work. A hunter of the elusive: time on the water; the quarry; the life lived in pursuit of both. Currently residing in the Tampa Bay Area, Chris enjoys taking advantage of all the area has to offer to feed his creative tendencies.
