“Art is indeed not the bread but the wine of life.” Jean Paul Quote For as long as I can remember, I have always held a pencil in my hand. My desire to study the basics of drawing and painting resulted in me graduating from two schools by the age of 17, regular school and art school. This early training in the artistic field has deepened my knowledge and refined my skills. As a young adult, I was becoming very fond of graphic design, enrolling in an art and design college. After graduating, I worked in numerous advertising agencies throughout Europe. A few years later I came to the realization that working as a graphic designer left me no time for painting. Thus, I decided to give up my clearly scheduled daily routine working in an office environment and become an independent designer and artist. For over 20 years now I have been a freelance artist and designer, living and working in Stuttgart, Germany. Over time, my individual style manifested itself in a combination of figurative and abstract motifs. I have created my own personal visual language based on my intuitive perceptions of the world surrounding me. My compositions engulf the viewer into the space of colors and textures, immerse them into the world of the abstract and simultaneously into reality, the outlines of both becoming barely visible. This creates a delicate connection, an invisible bridge, between the viewer, the painting, and me. Everyone recognizes something familiar within my works, completing the missing details in their mind. My subjects mainly consist of a mixture of architecture and landscapes, the line between color and shape often becoming blurry. I love still lives and of course the display of the human body – its beauty, its perfection in movements, its grace and rich inner world.
