"Soap Bubbles", Bad Docs, Greedy for Life, painting on newspaper, 2021 My son has ME/CFS, a severe multi-system disease, for 5 years now. In recent months, the disease has moved more into the public eye, since Long Covid can also develop into ME/CFS. Two years ago he began to paint pictures, one picture over several days or weeks, as his state of exhaustion allowed. He had to give up this one of his few occupations, which this insidious disease barely allowed, because the disease has the last of his energy taken for it. So we, my son and I, agreed that I would take up his pictures in the series "Greedy for Life" and his experiences in the two series "Waiting Room" and "Bad Docs" and paint them with my subjective impressions. Diagnosing ME / CFS is difficult. On the odyssey through specialist medical practices, one encounters ignorance among doctors. This supposed nakedness is masked with ignorance and vain behavior. Rash diagnoses result from this ignorance and the patient is frivolously stigmatized. It is astonishing that unfortunately the character of the "bad docs" predominates in my son's medical marathon.
