Generally starting from places I frequent, I collect images of the landscape, through photography, and recombine them in painting, composing with elements such as plants, animals, affective memories, popular culture, everyday situations and objects. I work with painting by superimposing thin layers of paint, opposing mimetic elements, with areas where shapes are simplified and painting is smooth. The color also distinguishes itself from the references. From this game of fictional possibilities typical of the pictorial universe, in a playful way I seek to establish relationships between the urban space and the environment. Reflecting on the transformations in the landscape and the concepts of preservation and extinction. The narrative, symbolic and temporal dimension that these works present is that of another look at our surroundings, placing the need for us to act together in the care and in the production of meanings of the places we inhabit.
