Brenda was born in Chicago and grew up in Tucson. As a self-taught artist she created and sold her line of SW style jewelry at art shows in the 80’s & 90’s. In 2008 with a desire to expand her creativity she started oil painting using a palette knife. Her style of painting and use of different mediums has expanded through time. Currently she is using acrylics and mixed media. Her subject of choice is animals. Capturing their mannerisms and quirky personalities is a passion of hers, especially with donkeys. She considers her style of painting intuitive with a bit of realism to impressionistic with a big dash of humor. Creatively following her intuition has always led her on a journey of fun.
