My work is a journey from an emotionally driven aesthetic moment, to the materialization of a deeper vision that I feel from that genesis. Along the route from the initial spark of inspiration, to the completed painting, there are deviations, corrections, revelations and then ultimately a resolution. Every piece is a unique experience of an idea or feeling brought to life with paint, gesso, spray paint and other mediums. I work from organic aesthetic sensibilities, with my attention moving from dimension to color, composition and balance. My paintings are an abstract concept and emotion manifested in the material, arousing the eye and stirring the heart. I see art as the inner life of the artist and the collector. My artistic purpose is to create beauty as the statement of the work. Each piece captures a moment in time of feeling, reflection and perception. My work is an expression of what I find beautiful and meaningful in the moment, from inception to creation. I was born and raised in New York City and live in Westport, CT.
