The work tries to explain an aggregated view of my world. Satellite imagery, photography and personal experience all contribute. The work currently is a combination of encaustic and oil paints on to birch ply. Hot wax/resin can be mixed with pigment and poured, painted, trowelled or flicked onto the surface. Lots of layering means heavy scrapping back and scaring bring back covered surfaces. I focus on the familiar and the everyday. The work does not take a particular viewpoint but has a sense of pieces and objects considered and explored.
