ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The main idea of the painting is the transformation of inner experiences into an image will cause the viewer to look inside himself and know himself in a new way. It is important for me to evoke an associative experience through the image of a physical form, face and composition. The meaning of art is in understanding the world and the experience that I live in , and my characters embody the inner emotions that fill me. The frozen images, the gazes of the characters reflect my own feelings and experiences.

My name is Irisha Pavlenko, I am 29 years old. I usually call myself a self-taught artist, but a few years ago I received an academic base of drawing and painting in the private art workshop of Sergei Pavlov (a graduate of the V.I. Surikov Institute and a teacher of the S. G. Stroganov Academy) and after that my free swimming in the world of art began. Now I am a member of the Professional Union of Artists . Over the past 10 years ,I tried myself in various fields of creativity , including 3D graphics and 2D illustration . But nevertheless, painting has always been love. In my works, I like to combine the received academic base and vivid images peculiar to illustrations. I started drawing at an early age, but life turned out so that for 10 long years I forgot about the brush and thought about anything but painting. After graduating from the History Department of University, I returned to painting again, but with a firm desire to become an artist and make it my second profession. Since then, I feel myself in my place, despite the fact that the artist's path for me is a constant emotional swing, similar to waves of disappointment and inspiration. The source of inspiration for me are characters, nature, stories, events and, of course, other artists. In creating a painting, the most interesting thing for me, perhaps, is the process of sculpting the form, the search for the form itself and the color solution. As an artist who mainly studies painting on his own, it's always a challenge whether I have enough skills to bring my idea to life.
