Irina Kolesnikov was born in 1975 in Odessa, Ukraine. She is a painter working in the field of fine arts. She received her artistic education at the Grekov Odessa Art School, where she participated in numerous exhibitions and competitions. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine and Graphic Arts at K. D. Ushinsky Odessa State Pedagogical University. Since the beginning of her active artistic career, she has participated in regional, national, and international exhibitions. Her works have been shown in Kyiv, Odessa, Lviv, and other cities in Ukraine — in museums, galleries, cultural centers, and independent art spaces. She has taken part in thematic and holiday exhibitions, plein-airs, and nationwide art projects. She completed her Master’s degree at the Faculty of Arts and Graphics at Odessa State Pedagogical University. Master’s thesis topic: "The Element as an Organizing and Structuring Principle in Easel Composition on the Example of the Female Portrait." Selected exhibitions and artistic participation: May 24, 2023 — CCCC (Centro del Carmen de Cultura Contemporánea), Valencia Participation in an event dedicated to the theme of war and Pablo Picasso’s painting Guernica (1937). Eighty-six years after its creation, the symbolism of this work remains relevant, reflecting the pain and destruction caused by war. In our time, the theme of war resonates especially strongly, and the tragedy of the past directly echoes contemporary reality. As part of the event, the artist presented an original interpretation of Guernica. For her, this work is not only a reminder of suffering and devastation but also proof that art can speak across decades, uniting different generations and countries through shared experience. December 10, 2024 — Solo exhibition "Armonía del caos", Alejandra Istorik Gallery, historic center of Valencia January 16, 2025 — Solo exhibition "Armonía del caos", Valencia Airport Exhibition Center (by invitation of airport management) May 6, 2025 — Solo exhibition "Armonía del caos", Port Gallery, historic center of Barcelona Previously, she also participated in exhibitions of Ukrainian artists in Madrid.
