Let’s get acquainted! I am Karine Simonyan and I love drawing and painting. It was not until I turned 41, when painting became my passion. I was inspired by the great artists’ paintings and mostly by representatives of Impressionism. I like painting flowers, still life and floral-fantasy, that is abstract colour paintings with flowers. I am fond of using a large range of cool and warm colours in one artwork, to make it emanate joy and delight. Nature and the old masters’ artist paintings are my muse. The message that I want to pass along is ‘Life is beautiful!’. I was often asked what colour I was defining myself the most with. Colourless, is what I answer, maybe transparent, I should say, because I fuse with the colours in the painting. The most magnificent pictures to me, are created when significance disappears and the pleasure of being in integrity with the brush and the process of creation alone remain.
