Hannah Yoon was born in South Korea and has been passionate about art since childhood. Throughout school, she actively participated in art clubs and won multiple awards in various art competitions. This early love for art led her to study Art History at Seoul National University, where she specialized in Korean painting history and later earned a master’s degree in Korean Art History from the Academy of Korean Studies. In Korea, Hannah worked as part of an editorial team for a publishing company, contributing to the art history section of historical encyclopedias. After immigrating to Toronto, Canada, over 20 years ago, she transitioned into running a construction business while maintaining a deep passion for animals, environmental issues, and storytelling. During the pandemic, Hannah began painting illustrations inspired by her original children's stories. Her works capture the beauty of nature and the charm of beloved animals while reflecting a deep commitment to sustainability and the harmony of life. Blending narrative and visual storytelling, her art creates whimsical yet thought-provoking pieces that invite viewers to explore a world where imagination and reality intertwine.
