I am a self-taught artist who began my painting journey at the age of nine, despite not receiving formal training from any art institution. I hold a Master’s degree in Botany and a PhD in Marine Biology, which reflects my background as a science student, as well as my passion for the arts. Additionally, I am an accomplished musician skilled in both Carnatic and light music. Currently, I live in Kerala, India's southernmost state, often referred to as "God's own country" due to its lush green ambiance and beautiful landscapes. Since 1992, I have pursued painting seriously, developing a style that harmoniously blends modern and classical elements. As a naturalist, I predominantly focus on landscapes and oceanscapes; however, I have recently begun exploring abstract forms as well. I love painting floral themes, nature, butterflies, and spiritual themes. I have held several solo exhibitions of my paintings. My most recent exhibition, titled “Rainbows,” took place at the Lalithakala Academy Art Gallery in Trivandrum, Kerala, India, and was well-received by art lovers. Currently, I am furthering my artistic development under the guidance of the internationally renowned artist B.D. Dethan, to refine my technique and expand my creative repertoire.
