ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This watercolor is realized from life. During cold winter days when painting en plein-air becomes very challenging I replace the nature with so cold "natura morta" - this term literally means "dead nature" and is used for still life. I really enjoy when I feel like subjects trasforms in something live and starts interacting with each other and with me as a painter. This artwork is realized in pure watercolor and it is unframed. Please contact me for more detailed foto, if needed

I am watercolor artist born in Russia but living in Italy (Lombardy) last 9 years. I graduated from St. Petersburg Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy but several years ago I started drawing and painting as a hobby, then I have passed through several courses dedicated to painting in watercolor and now I am studying at Milan Academy of Art (classical drawing and painting). Starting november 2020 I am a member of Italian Association of Watercolor Artists (Associazione Italiana Acquerellisti AIA). I have participated in several international on-line and off-line exhibitions of Watercolor (participant certificate is available per request). My prefereed subject was and remain the nature around me. I take a lot of inspiration also from my trips within Italy and abroad, in every place I find some beauty that I try to capture in my painting. I especially enjoy painting en plein-air due to this unique interaction you have with the subject at the moment of painting. I also like painting still life. Recently I have started painting portraits with pencil and charcoal which I found incredibly interesting as it makes my artistic experience more vast and help me to know the people's nature deeper.
