ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Still life with teapot and fruits, painted in a post-impressionist conception. One of my old oil paintings on digitally drawn background. From the series 'Paintings made for fifty years'. I am very attracted to the visual effects that can only be achieved by combining handmade and digital tools. This series includes digital reworkings of images I started when I was young, mostly when I was 14-18 – or later. Drawings, paintings and some photos. I simply finished or corrected some of these, and used others as raw materials to create new digital images. This digital picture, together with my other digital works, belongs to a genre that could be called 'file art', which means it is not a copy. There is no original: the prints are not reproductions, each one is equally original. New art requires a new approach from artists and collectors alike.
