About the Artist

Karl Mieluk

United Kingdom

Born and raised in the town of Wallasey in the North West of England close to the City of Liverpool. Karl currently lives on the beautiful Moray Coast in Scotland, he is inspired and influenced by the photography of his wife Joanne and by the artwork of his Great Grandfather. Other influences come from exploring the great outdoors, living in different locations and travelling around Europe taking in other cultures and landscapes.

Being self-taught after studying at home throughout 2012 and 2013, he restarted in 2020 as part of an Art Therapy Course undertaken during treatment for Cancer. Creating art played a large part in helping to come through this difficult time and since recovering has now become a continued passion.

After starting his artistic journey with Acrylic Paints, mixing beautiful and vibrant colours. his medium of choice is now Oil Paint on Canvas, using scale drawing to create photo realistic paintings with accurate compositions and depth. His art is displayed in Private Collections across America & Europe including the UK and France.

“It is a great feeling to have discovered something so good and creative from such a difficult time”
