About The Artwork

This drawing was made during an international event in Turin called Paratissima (Artissima) in a live painting session. I choose to express myself with some different material from my usual watercolors and pencil, adding some graffiti/street art element with my spray paint. I Think this piece it's pretty vanishing and shocking at the same time.

My name is Diego, I was born in Milan in 1982 and since then I have always lived in this multifaceted city. For as long as I can remember, I have always drawn: I think that art is a part of me from which I cannot detach myself. Living in Milan has always given me an opportunity to move forward with my art, without setting limits of material or technique. In fact, I have always been looking for my sign, which is always distinguishable even if used in always different circumstances. I grew up with a lot of visual stimuli and inspirations of various kinds, starting with graphics (taught to me by my father and continued in high school) through writing and street art, finally channeled into abstractionism. I have an art baccalaureate and a graphic design diploma. The technique that I have preferred for many years is that of abstract watercolor, which always manages to give me satisfaction from the point of view of rendering and, above all, never tires me thanks to its intrinsic unpredictability. Watercolor manages to bring out what I want to express and often makes it happen spontaneously, while recognizing the role that control and mastery must have with this technique. In the past I worked with: Pasquale D'Orlando (known for having founded the current of Universalism), the sculptor Valdi Spagnulo, the painter Alberto Schiavi, the Aurorameccanica collective. Awards and acknowledgments: - First place according to the popular jury during the international art collective "Intuizione Expression", sponsored by the Province of Milan, Casa delle Culture (2011) - Participation in art collective exhibitions in Milan including "Segni" (live-painting), "Universalism" and "L’arte a Precotto". - Participation in the collective "Judgment and the Mind" organized by Giancarlo Gabelli at the MUDIMA foundation in Milan. (2013) Some of my works are part of private collections.
