ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Structures is a series of paintings on canvas and paper in which the artist studies the reality that surrounds him, reducing it to elementary lines and surfaces. A monochromatic choice of black and white prevails with the addition of details of a dark cadmium red. These details reinforce the balance of the composition between the contrasting surfaces. The shape of the square is the starting point of each painting in this series. Within the static square, the dynamism of pictorial form and gestures is possible. Exhibited in the collective exhibition Maestri del Contemporaneo 4edizione, in Piacenza, Galleria Studio C, February-March 2021.
